| 1. I'm scared of thunder! 我害怕雷！
be scared of ... 意思是“害怕……”。如：
I'm scared of wild animals. 我害怕野生动物。
The child was scared of the fierce dog. 这孩子害怕那条凶恶的狗。
2. The temperature goes up!气温上升！
go up意思是“上升”，与rise同义，与go down或set反义。如：
The sun goes up / rises in the east and goes down / sets in the west. 太阳从东方升起，从西方落下。
3. Thunder makes a loud noise. 打雷会发出巨大的声响。
make a noise意思是“发出声；吵闹”，与make much noise同义。如：
We are studying. Don't make a / much noise. 我们在学习，不要过于喧哗。
You'd better not make a / much noise here. 在这儿你最好别出声。
4. Every morning I see many people in the park exercising. 每天早晨我都看见有许多人在公园里锻炼身体。
see是感官动词，常用于see sb. doing sth.句式，意思是“看见某人正在做某事”；see sb. do sth. 意思是“看见某人做某事（指经常习惯性的动作，或完整的一次性动作）”。如：
I saw Li Lei go into the library. 我看见李雷走进了图书馆。
I saw my brother drawing pictures on the ground at this time yesterday. 昨天这个时候我看见我弟弟正在地上画画。
和see用法一样的感官动词有：watch, hear, feel, notice, look at, listen to等。
5. The sun will set in about fifteen minutes. 还有十五分钟太阳就落山了。
in在此作介词，“in + 一段时间”表示“……时间之后”，一般用于一般将来时。如：
I'm coming back in a minute. 一会儿我就回来。
in的同义词有after, later，它们都表示“在……之后”，其区别是：
after接时间点。如：
He often comes back after ten o'clock. 他经常十点后回来。
当表示过去某个时间为起点时，after可以接时间点或时间段。如：
After a few minutes she started to cry. 几分钟后，她开始哭了。
later多用作副词，意思是“稍后；……之后”，通常用于时间段之后，此时与过去时连用。当然，它也可以单独使用，此时多与将来时连用。如：
At first she was asleep. Half an hour later / After half an hour she woke up. 开始她睡着了，半小时后她醒了。
The radio says that it will be fine later. 收音机说稍后天会转晴。
6. We won't see any flowers until May. 直到五月份我们才会看见花。
not ... until ... 意思是“直到……才……”。如：
I didn't know it until I saw it. 直到我看见才知道这件事。
Don't leave until the rain stops. 雨停了再走。
7. One by one the flowers blossom, ... 花一朵接一朵地开了，……
one by one意思是“一个接一个地”。如：
Please read the test one by one. 请一个接一个地读这篇课文。
