1. Sue is reading a physics book with her classmate, Dan. Make up their dialogue by following the models.

1) make up“编造；使……完整；凑足……”，后可接宾语。如：Could you make up a dialogue according to these words? 你能根据这些单词编一个对话吗？

2) by 介词，表示“手段；方式；原因”，其后可接名词、代词或V-ing。如：

We can keep in touch with each other by phone. 我们可以通过电话保持联系。

2. The pieces of paper jump up and stick to the balloon.

stick to... “紧靠在……旁边;不离开……；坚持”，后可接宾语。如：

Stick to your idea, it is no use to follow others. 坚持你的想法，附和他人是没用的。

3. You can also hold the balloon near your hair, and see how the hair on your head rise, as if by magic.

as if 连词，“似乎是……，好象是……”，它所引导的句子常采用虚拟语气或根据情况选用恰当的时态。如：She is so strict with us as if she were our head teacher. 她对我们如此严格，似乎她就是我们的班主任似的。

4. Electric energy can be made into light energy, sound energy and heat energy.

be made into... “被制成”，这是一个被动语态结构的动词词组，它的主语为动作的承受者。如：

This piece of wood will be made into a nice chair. 这块木头将被制成一把精美的椅子。

5. In all, electricity has completely changed the way we live.

in all副词词性，“全部 / 总计；总体来说”。位于句尾时意思是“全部 / 总计”；位于句首时意思是“总体来说”。如：In all, this meeting is a successful one. 总体来说，这是个成功的会议。
