| I． 口语项目：Asking the time and dates （询问时间、日期）
1． 询问时间常用表达方式集锦
1） What's the time now? (= What time is it now?) / What's the time by your watch?
2） Do you have the time? / Can you tell me the time? / May I know the time, please? / Could you give me the time, please?
注： 几点几分——可按小时、分钟顺序读，如：7：40→seven forty；分钟超过30分，常用介词to，小于或等于30分则用past，如7：30→half past seven，7：40→twenty (minutes) to eight。
2． 询问日期常用表达方式集锦
1） What's the date today? / What's today's date?
2） What date is it today?
注： “年、月、日”的表达方式有两种：一是按“月、日、年”顺序，即 (It's) December 10 / 10th, 2007，书写时序数词前的the和词尾的序数标志可省略，但读时要念出来；二是按“日、月、年”顺序，即 (It's) 10 of December, 2004。
3． 询问星期常用表达方式集锦
1） What day is it today / tomorrow? / What day of the week is it today?
2） What day was it yesterday?

我们常用光阴荏苒、日月如梭形容时间过得快；人生在世分秒必争——Time is life！Time is money!
II． 口语聊天室
和你的同伴练习下面的对话。
A: What's the date today, dad?
B: It's March 3rd. What's up?
A: Oh, dear, I almost forgot. It's Mon's birthday in two days.
B: That's right. What about having a party for her?
A: Good idea.
B: And you should buy some flowers as a present to give her a big surprise.
A: You'd better do some housework for her.
B: No problem.
A: Let's do some shopping now.
B: Hey! What's the time now?
A: It's a quarter to five.
B: Oh, no. I have to meet Mr Liang between 5:00—5:50. Let's make it tomorrow morning.
A: At half past seven tomorrow morning, OK?
