| 【问】 unfair的主要用法有哪些?
【答】 unfair表示“不公平的；不合理的”，是形容词，通常作表语。
We think the punishment is unfair. 我们认为这样的惩罚是不公平的。
It was unfair of you to give chocolate to some of the children and not to the others. 你把巧克力给一些孩子而不给另一些孩子是不公平的。
2. Somebody is late for a flight and wants to go ahead of the queue. 有人乘飞机迟到了，想插队。
【问】 ahead of表示什么意思?
【答】 ahead of表示“（在空间或时间上比某人、某物）更早；提前；在……之前；比……好”。
I'm sure there is a great future ahead of you. 我相信你前程似锦。
The new teaching building was finished ahead of time. 这座新教学大楼提前竣工了。
Liu Tao is ahead of the other students in his class. 刘涛比班上其他同学功课好。
3. I can manage it myself. 我自己能行。
【问】 请讲讲manage的常见用法，好吗?
【答】 好的。
1) manage表示“做成（某事）；管理；经营；使用”，是及物动词。
He manages a company for his father. 他替他父亲经营一家公司。
He doesn't know how to manage his naughty children. 他不知道怎样管好他顽皮的孩子。
Can you manage chopsticks now? 现在你会使用筷子吗？
2) manage表示“设法做好”，后面接动词不定式或用在情态动词后面。
How did you manage to get their approval? 你是怎么得到他们的同意的？
The repair is difficult, but I can manage it. 修理起来不容易，但我能设法修好。
4. A smile can help us get through difficult situations and find friends in a world of strangers. 微笑可以帮助我们在陌生的世界里度过难关，找到朋友。
【问】 get through只表示“度过”吗？
【答】 get through除了表示“度过”之外，还可表示“（使）通过；穿越；接通电话”，是短语动词。
I got through everything except biology. 除了生物，我所有学科的考试都通过了。
How long does it take you to get through a letter? 你写一封信要花多少时间？
I called all day yesterday, but I couldn't get through. 昨天我打了一天电话，但是都接不通。
5. A smile can open doors and tear down walls. 微笑能敲开大门，拆除高墙（这里指化解矛盾）。
【问】 tear down 后面必须用名词作宾语吗？
【答】 tear down表示“弄倒；拆除；拆毁；扯下”，是短语动词，其中down是副词，后面可以接名词作宾语，也可以用代词作宾语，但代词作宾语时必须放在tear和down之间。
As soon as he got there, he tore down the notice. 他一到那儿就把通告撕了下来。
Those houses are old, so we're going to tear them down. 那些房子旧了，所以我们打算拆除它们。 |
