| 在别人不知所措有求于你时，你应该通过自己正确的立场和观点来提醒、启发或安慰对方。
一、常用表达
1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it is easier to understand a foreign language than to speak it. 如果我错了请纠正我，可是我认为理解外语比讲外语要容易些。
2. You shouldn't forget that jogging is good for health. 你不应该忘记慢跑是对健康有益的。
3. What shouldn't be forgotten is that watching TV has a bad influence on teenagers. 不应该忘记的是看电视对青少年有不良的影响。
4. One of the most important facts is that the world population is growing fast. 其中一个重要的事实就是世界人口正在快速增长。
5. The way I would go about it is different from yours. I will have a friendly talk with him first. 我处理此事的方式与你的不同。我会先和他好好谈谈的。
6. You could, for example, leave him a message. 例如，你可以给他留个口信。
7. As far as I know, he has decided not to play computer games. 就我所知，他已决心不玩电脑游戏了。
8. But in this particular case, making a mistake is unavoidable. We should be thoughtful. 但是在这种特殊的情况下出错是难免的。我们应该体谅人。
二、对话实例
A: I'm afraid that I won't pass the English test this time.
B: But as far as I know your English is not too bad.
A: I was ill last week and missed some classes. What's worse, I didn't prepare well before the test. I made some silly mistakes in reading comprehension. And I didn't do well in my listening comprehension.
B: In this particular case, making some mistakes was unavoidable. Don't worry too much. After all, it's only a test. The final examination is the most important one.
A: I know. But who can help me catch up with other students.
B: You could turn to Li Hua for help. He is good at English too.
A: I hope he will.
B: And you shouldn't forget that it is easier said than done. So you need a lot of practice.
